Project Notes

This was technically my first “real” quilt project and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. The quilt was made as a Christmas gift for my parents, who love to camp in their fifth wheel. The little campers remind me of the trailer that my grandparents had when I was a kid and we had lots of family camping trips. Brings back good memories. 🙂

I tweaked the pattern a bit to make it work for me – I used just four of the eight camper blocks used in the original pattern, plus I added the tall section in the middle with the grandparents (included with the pattern) to make the wall hanging wide, rather than tall. The “happy campers” wording was my own addition. I also added a hanging sleeve on the back and included a “Hang It, Dang It” adjustable quilt hanger along with the gift.
